Nail The Vibe

“It’s the vibe we were going for …”

These words from my son as he showed us his costume for a fancy dress party. After an observation was made of a few historical inaccuracies in said costume, he reinforced,

“I think we nailed the vibe.”

(I think they did, too. 😉)

It reminded me that in our workplaces - much as in life - things are situational. Sometimes it is enough to aim for, and nail, the vibe.

Yes, there are times where precision, accuracy and detail are vital. And, there are many occasions where they are unnecessary and burdensome.

With a curious approach, open communication and by asking great questions, we can find our way to the ideal outcome for any situation.

I think I might take “nailing the vibe” as my goal into this week, how about you?
