Seek Boredom

Do you ever crave boredom?

Not so much actual boredom, instead that feeling that there is nothing you have to do.

It has been a rainy and cold, un-summery Sunday here. Perfect weather to do nothing.

And by do nothing, I mean cosy up with a good book, watch a movie, play a game, do some baking, or some other leisure activity.

It’s tough for some of us to enjoy boredom. The call of the never-ending list of things we could or should be doing instead keeps interrupting our efforts to do something less productive.

We all know it is important. And, yet.

It makes me wonder, what happens when we give ourselves permission to be bored, if just for a while?
