People Like Us

Author Seth Godin has a saying that “people like us do things like this.”

I was reminded of it today while shuffling the pile of read vs unread books around my desk and bedside. At times I might lament my learnaholic tendencies, the resultant collection of books, and the knowledge that there isn’t enough time to learn and read all that I want to, and then I think of all the people like me. And, I smile.

Because people like us really do do things like this.

People who like to learn take up learning opportunities.

People who like to read have many books.

People who like to explore go down rabbit holes.

People who have a wide array of interests tap into a wide array of information and knowledge.

And, we wouldn’t change it at all, don’t you agree.
