Over & Over

The discussion in a recent workshop turned to the value each person gained when we repeated a particular exercise multiple times. I am reminded that we often fall into a trap of “once and done”.

Do something. Tick. What’s next?

Learn something. Got it. What’s next?

Growth and mastery, progress and performance, comes with the iteration.

We’re often in a rush to the next thing, seeing our success as a straight line trajectory.  Yet, it is the practice of doing, reading, hearing, discussing, learning something many times over that helps us to embed it as a way of being.

I’m curious, what is something that you have benefitted from doing, or learning, over and over again?
