Work-Arounds
There is always a workaround.
It’s worth remembering that we humans are an ingenious lot, and we become ever more resourceful when we are faced with a change we don’t like.
I’ve seen this on show over the last few days in suggestions for how to solve the (first-world) problem of Instagram trying to be more like TikTok. It seems that many regular users of Instagram are not happy with the latest round of enforced changes to the platform. However, there is always a workaround and, in this case, many people who are happy to help make us aware of them.
Similarly to those enforced changes in our workplace, we have the choice to accept them, or not. Leaving may be an option. Usually, though, it is the silent resistance that shows up in a workaround.
Whether we are the one introducing the change, or on the receiving end, remember: there is always a workaround.
