New Year Noise
Controlling the noise is helpful.
I know this as I switch to noise-cancelling mode with my new headphones.
I know this as I scroll past - or hold lightly - the shoulds and unrealistic new year expectations screaming at me on social media.
I know this as I use focused time-blocking in my calendar.
I know this as I discern where my time, energy, yes and no’s will go.
The new year noise will persist, and is likely to get louder as we return from holidays and get down to work.
