More Better

More better.

While watching a live broadcast, I heard the announcer use the words “more better”. They immediately stopped talking, and with a humble chuckle to their colleague, corrected their grammar.

In this live environment, there isn’t time to anguish over a mistake. Nor is there the luxury of a take-two to get it perfect.

And, do we need perfect?

Mistakes happen. They are part of work, and life. They are part of being human.

When we accept mistakes - whether it be a simple grammatical error, or something more serious - we know that our response matters more.

Own it.

Fix it.

Learn from it.

Move forward.

A humble chuckle may even be appropriate 😁

Whatever you’re embarking on this year, how might you make your response to mistakes more better?
