Being You-Nique
“I can only be who I am …”
When I heard these words spoken in a meeting, it took me to the oft-used quote of:
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.
A quote that encourages us to stand in the power of our uniqueness, to be true to who we are.
We are often bombarded with messages at this time of year suggesting who we might be instead. Messages that pile a lot of shoulds, and not-good-enoughs on our shoulders.
And, so, if we find ourselves seeking out learning, growth, and change, it’s worthwhile remembering that being ourself is being the best human we can be.
