Math of Everything

Author Paulo Coelho writes, “life has many ways of testing a person’s will, either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen at once.”

In the everything happening moments, it is easy for panic to ensue.

I cannot fit everything on my calendar today.

I cannot start, let alone finish, everything today.

I cannot make the math of everything work.

What do I tell my boss / customers / team / family / friends / or whoever will be affected.

Even when everything is happening at once, there is one thing we must remember to do.

Breathe.

It never ceases to amaze me how the pendulum often swings at this moment - if only slightly - and with it a reprieve to the pressure felt by everything happening at once.

When the math of everything isn’t adding up, I choose to breathe first, panic later. How about you?
