Many Lessons

In a writing group today, our warm up prompt was What have I learned so far this week …

This week - and perhaps, this month - I have been learning new lessons about the value of being nimble. Over the last couple of decades we have seen an increasingly uncertain and dynamic world of work. With that has come the need for workplaces to be agile and adaptable.

Of course, much of this agility and adaptability comes from we humans. If we are flexible in our mindset and actions, then we are able to ebb and flow, respond and change as needed.

Sometimes circumstances give us the opportunity to practice our adaptability. Think technical and IT issues as a recurring one.

It also helps to be intentional in our practice. Spontaneous acts, stepping outside our comfort zone, letting go of our plans and prior expectations all helps to create a more flexible approach.

The lessons to help us learn and grow definitely come from experience. What’s a lesson that you have learned (or re-learned) this week ?
