Work Rhythm

To perform at a high level, most of us have a daily, weekly, monthly and annual rhythm for our work.

What happens when that rhythm gets out of sync?

For me, having a midweek public holiday is making for a disjointed week and I’ve had to recalibrate the schedule to make it all work.

Of course, it’s really just another one of those reminders that our rhythm can be interrupted at any time and by all sorts of expected, and unexpected, events. This requires a simultaneous focus on flexing and adapting AND keeping the rhythm and consistency.

It is going to be an interesting balance of a steady hand while running to and fro this week to keep all of the plates spinning.
