Keep The Rhythm

Metronomic.

Cool word.

When I heard it used to describe a top-level sportsperson recently, it struck a chord. I, too, have been referred to as a metronome, and upon reflection, I realise that this has been an intentional shift in the way I work and live.

To juggle all of the varied balls, to continue to make progress on the work that matters, and to pursue areas of curiosity and possibility as they arise, requires me to keep a steady, consistent rhythm.

There’s many a thing that can challenge the steady, metronomic beat in work and life.

And, as with the device itself, it’s heartening to know that we can change or reset the tempo and start again.

Are you feeling challenged to keep your rhythm right now? How might we be a little more metronomic this coming week?
