Expect Change

I watched the dog owner pretend to throw the ball one way and then catapult it in the opposite direction.

The dog was watching closely and, without missing a beat, proceeded in the direction of the ball.

It’s not that different a scenario to what work and life throws us some days. In an increasingly uncertain and dynamic environment, we can easily find ourselves chasing balls in the wrong direction.

Taking a lesson from the dog, when we expect the unexpected, we are able to ebb and flow, respond and change as the situation requires.

And with each ‘trip to the park’ we continue to learn and develop our agility and adaptability muscles for the next time.

Woooossshh.

Are you watching where that ball’s going now?
