Don’t Know It All

I’m a proud don’t-know-it-all, how about you?

There’s a prevailing myth in our world, and especially our workplaces, that knowing it all is the key to success.

One of the unintended consequences of this view is that we shut down curiosity and learning.

When we are content that we don’t - and never will - know everything, we have the opportunity to explore new ideas, ask curious questions, discover how something works, or how to do something new.

We learn and grow; our teams learn and grow; and our organisations learn and grow.

A learning mindset is a core 21st century skill. How might you embrace being a don’t-know-it-all?
