Top Of The Mountain

We’ve all seen that meme of the person climbing a mountain, and within a couple of steps of the top, they’ve given up because they didn’t realise how close they were.

We see something like this and it affirms what we know is needed to reach the top:

To maintain hope that our goal isn’t beyond reach.

To persevere in the face of uncertainty.

To endure the hard moments along the way.

Except what we know and what we do can be different things.

When we are a way into the climbing of our own mountain, we can lose sight of the well-known meme and its lessons. We let the voices of doubt bubble to the surface, and we listen to the story that hope, persistence and resilience are only possible for other people.

If you are climbing the mountain of your goals right now, how might you close that knowing-doing gap and keep going?
