Thinking In Questions
Curiosity is …
thinking in questions.
Why is the sun shining?
A question triggered by it being winter time. A question that leads to a further question: was there a change in forecast? A question that prompts a discovery of sunshine all day, and changes our plans accordingly.
When we express our thoughts, and observations, as a statement, our tendency is to accept it as is.
The sun shining may not be a high-stakes example, but it does remind us of how bringing curious thinking to any situation helps us to be adaptable and flexible.
The ever-changing nature of work and life is made easier with curiosity. Which makes me curious, how often are you thinking in questions?
