Thanks Fear

As I listened to the classic Fleetwood Mac song, Landslide, this one line stuck in my head:

Well, I’ve been afraid of changing …

Change and fear are an unfortunate, yet somewhat necessary, pairing.

Our desire for change comes from a place of hope and possibility.

Fear wants to drag us back and keep us in the status quo.

We should always thank the fear for showing up. For fear reminds us that the hope and possibility we seek is worth changing for.

See the fear. Feel the fear. Thank the fear.

Change. Here I come.
