Thank you for …

I spotted these three words, in the handwriting of a child, peeking out from behind a photo on my office pin board.

The full note reads “thank you for lending me your jumper”

It is a note from my son - written many years ago, when he was small enough to wear my jumper - that I keep as a reminder.

The feeling from a simple gesture of thanks can ripple long into the future.

Which is all the more reason to say thank you, don’t you agree.
