Tell Me A Story

The rise in audiobooks and podcasts takes me back to the joy of being read a story in my childhood.

In adulthood we become the storytellers to ourselves.

I have the privilege of listening to some of these in my coaching work.

One of the recurring ones goes like this:

I’ve always wanted to do X
BUT
A …
B …
C …

Z … are the reasons why I can’t.

Whilst some of what falls between A through Z is real, much of it is a story.

Fear raises the questions: What if I get it wrong? What if it doesn’t work? What if I fail?

The answers we give to these questions become the story we believe. How might you discover which parts of the story are holding you back?
