Stuck For Thinking

Are you stuck, or are you thinking?

This was the empowering question from the teacher to her student.

It is an equally empowering question to be asked in the workplace, when leading others and ourselves.

In our fast paced work environments, there is often a lack of time available for deeper and considered thinking. A situation that can be reinforced by certain workplace cultures.

When we feel stuck it can quickly turn to stress, anxiety and overwhelm. It can see us turning to someone or something else in search of an answer. It can result in teams or a culture of learned helplessness.

What if the time and permission to think is what we need instead?
