Stop. Now.

Stop! Now!

The car - and I, in it - came to an abrupt stop as the automatic braking discharged on approach to the speed hump.

For the humans I had discussed hump-day moods with earlier in the day, I wonder if my car has a lesson for us.

When we observe conditions that don’t feel conducive to moving forward then it is a good idea to stop. Now.

If we attempt to move again too quickly our movement will be stopped, whether we want it or not.

When we reassess the conditions and determine that all is okay, we can move again. We can slowly but surely get ourselves over the speed hump and on our way.

It is natural for us non-machines to have the hump-day feelings some weeks, and perhaps even my car can experience it, too.
