Stay Curious

I love being surprised. Do you?

Especially by people. Just when I think I might have seen and heard it all, people surprise me.

A surprise provides us with the opportunity

to be stopped in our tracks;

to reflect on where our prior experiences and expectations lead us down a path of a particular thought process; and

to say, WOW, that is a surprise.

When we stay curious and don’t let our brains shortcut to the a + b = c answer, then we stay open to learning and discovery.

And when we’re open to surprise, it can provide us with connection, meaning and satisfaction in our work and life.

Stay curious. Be surprised.

Sounds like a good plan for a good day, don’t you agree?
