Start The Week

Did you start the week …

Or did the week start you?

How often do we start with an intention or plan, only to see it go awry before it even begins?

I used to think it was just a me thing, and through talking with others, one by one the me became we.

Because it isn’t always about lacking in focus and discipline, being a procrastinator, or too reactive and ‘nice’.  Life happens. Things change, and one of the biggest skills we can have is how to be change-ready and adaptive.

In fact, our AQ (or ability to adapt to change) is increasingly becoming a predictor of success in the workplace and beyond.

Because, I’ll say it again: life happens.

So, if the start button was pressed on the week before you were ready, or it had you pointed in another direction, the good news is that it’s never too early for a do-over.

Which makes me curious, how are you starting the week?
