Slow Change

Is slow a bad thing?

Because change can be fast and change can be slow.

Things can change in a moment and when the unexpected happens we’re left running to catch up with the change forced upon us.

Much of change, though, is slower. If we consider the patterns of nature and the changing of seasons which happen little by little every day. Today’s sun rose just a tiny bit earlier, or a tiny bit later. It is virtually unnoticeable, unless you are watching closely. Most of us don’t.

When it comes to the change we seek, we focus on fast. We want change, and we want it now.

However, embedding lasting change takes time. Slow is a good thing.

How might you embrace the little by little, every day change?
