Over and Over and …
Over and over and over again.
The exhaustion and frustration in those words is evident.
“Nothing changes …”
“No-one is listening …”
“We keep saying, and doing, it over and over and over again …”
Change - real, lasting, embedded change - is a long game. It takes time.
I’m always reminded of the Ovid quote, “Dripping water hollows out stone, not through force but through persistence.”
As our voices become hoarse from saying it … again … and our bodies tired from practicing it … again … we trust in knowing that we are making progress. We are the dripping water and change is happening.
And, so we persist.
And, so we change.
