Lighten The Load

We may not be able to see it but we sure can feel it. That invisible yet heavy weight that sits firmly on our shoulders at times.

On two separate occasions this week I witnessed that weight lift from the shoulders of people I was working with.

In both scenarios, the pressure had been gradually building. The lightening of the load comes with stopping to acknowledge the source of that pressure.

By asking ourselves:

What expectations am I carrying?

What triggers and stressors am I experiencing?

Where do I lack clarity and understanding?

Where are things overly complex and time-consuming?

What is the balance of short and long term focus?

Where can I obtain support going forward?

we are able to make that invisible load on our shoulders visible. Once seen, the solutions feel tangible and possible.

To exhale and release that pressure does feel good, don’t you agree?
