Learn Every Day

It’s good for your brain …

is what I said to my mother this week when she had to replace her computer.

There is plenty of research that shows us how learning new information and skills maintains the strength and agility of our brains, reinforcing and rewiring pathways, and even replacing lost neurons.

And, we shouldn’t forget the other mental and physical benefits like increased motivation, a sense of accomplishment, and satisfaction.

Whilst it can feel difficult at the time [as my mother asks: why do they need to change the way it works?!] the rewards for our efforts are worth it.

The great news is that we don’t have to wait until circumstances force us into learning something new.

Choosing to learn or do something new every day might be good for your brain, too.
