It Its Own Sweet Time

It will happen …

in one’s own sweet time.

Which can usually see it taking longer than we would expect, or hope for.

Especially when we listen to the external voices of expectation and pressure.

Living in a productivity obsessed, 24/7, busy as a badge, always-on world, with its narrow view of what is ‘real’ work and ‘real’ success, can be difficult. It contorts and misrepresents how growth and change - and, life - actually works in practice.

For it to happen, we move between clarity and confusion, knowing and wondering, zooming in and zooming out … over and over and over until something shifts.

Change takes practice.

Change is iterative.

Change takes time.

So, as you reflect on the week that was, how might you maintain your inner knowing and confidence that it will happen … in its own sweet time?
