That’s just how it is …

Have you heard those words before?

They are often accompanied by resignation or acceptance.

To these words (or similar), I ask, does it have to be?

Challenging the status quo isn’t easy.

Discerning the need for change takes concern and curiosity. Standing up for change takes courage and conviction. Making change takes confidence and  commitment.

Next time you hear the words, that’s just how it is, ask yourself, does it have to be?
