Finding The Gold
The gold is in there.
We often know this. Intuitively we understand that the answer resides somewhere in us, or near us. Finding it, though, can prove a little tricky.
A well-placed, well-timed, well-intentioned question is like a gold detector.
It’s gratifying to experience that moment in a conversation where someone goes from being stuck to having an insight into possible answers and solutions. All on the back of a simple question.
Eyes light up. Head nods.
Gold!
It often feels easier to use our knowledge and wisdom outwardly.
