Everyday Life

Everyday.

There are things we say, think and do

Every. Single. Day.

And often we think of them as the stock-standard, ‘everyday’ aspects of life, usually to indicate that they are not special, unique, momentous or worthy of that much of our attention.

Except as author Annie Dillard reminds us:

How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.

And so it is that the everyday is everything.

When we’re seeking change in our work and lives, it might just be that we need to start with the everyday words, ideas and actions that will move us forward.

I’m curious, what’s hiding in your everyday that might move you closer to the change you seek?
