Effort Paradox

I love a good puzzle.

The curious thing I have noticed is that when a puzzle is labelled Difficult I find it easier than those labelled Easy.

What’s with that?

It’s the paradox of effort, that’s what. We see these difficult things as a challenge and we are motivated to put extra effort into the activity.

It has me wondering how we might hack the paradox of effort to gain progress of the change we seek to make.

I’m curious, how might you get an extra burst of motivation and energy for the more challenging aspects of your goals for change?

I’ve got some DIFFICULT labels if you need one 😉
