Getting There

Are we there yet?

Every now and again, my inner 8-year-old voice pops up to ask this question. To which I often answer: not yet.

Often when we are not there yet, it can leave us feeling deflated and frustrated.

Until we ask ourselves another question:

what progress have we made?

Reflecting on progress helps us to see where we have been, and where we are going. Identifying the challenges and barriers to progress helps us to adjust and adapt to change. Focusing on progress helps us to feel rewarded for our effort and results.

Reminding my inner 8-year-old that all progress is progress is an important part of “getting there”.

As we move through the middle of the week, I’m curious, how are you progressing?
