Zig Zagging Plans
Best laid plans …
As Robert Burns reminded us, they often go awry.
When we have spent time, energy and effort to strategise and plan, it can be frustrating to see these plans hit the proverbial brick wall, and to be faced with the decision of how to move forward.
When we go into the planning process with the expectation that best laid plans are just that, then we ready ourselves for the inevitable zigs and zags. Changing direction, thinking of new options and exploring different possibilities is all part of work and life. Being adaptable and comfortable with this change is a skill worth mastering.
So, if you find yourself confronted with the plans gone awry, how might you zig or zag your way through to a new one?
