What Really Matters

Does it really matter?

A question I ask often.

A question that helps me to discern many of my work and life choices, and how I spend my days.

Our answer to this question, more often than not, comes down to the story we tell ourselves.

That we get to choose what matters is a powerful force for change. At each and every turn, we are able to edit, or completely re-write, the story about what really matters, and of course, change what we do accordingly.

When asked, we all say that we want to spend our time where things really matter.

Which makes me curious, when you hear the story you’re telling yourself about what matters, where might there be room for a new story?
