Time-Suck

Author Annie Dillard reminds us “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.”

When we reflect on how we spend our days, one question to ask is: where are the time-sucks in my day?

Our first thought may go to things like too many coffee breaks in a day, or mindlessly scrolling social media.

What about the ones that are hiding within the work we do?

Lack of clarity, inefficient processes and practices (our own, and others), communication and collaboration challenges, through to dysfunction within a team, are all examples of things that can rob us of the time - and energy - to focus on what is important each day.

I’m curious, if you looked closely at how you spend your day, what might you find?
