Step By Step

Sometimes it feels like there is a mountain to climb.

There are false starts.

Set backs.

Mistakes aplenty.

Two steps forward, three steps back.

Sometimes the reward of change does not feel worth the effort to get there.

When we concentrate on that very next step, with placing one foot in front of the other, and in front of the other, and so on, we make progress.

It’s okay to be slow and steady.

It’s okay to be up and down.

It’s okay to stop and admire the view from wherever we are on our mountain.

And, it’s okay to take the next step in front of us, when we’re ready.
