Stay Curious
Stay curious.
So reads the daily motivational quote on the cafe’s sign.
It reminded me of the introductory words in the book, Storyteller where Dave Grohl (of band Foofighters’ fame) talks of “greeting the world every day through the idealistic, mischievous eyes of a rebellious child finding happiness and appreciation in the most basic, simple things.”
Yes, ‘stay curious’ works for Dave.
And, for anyone who has listened to why I classify curiosity as a core skill needed in today’s workplace, you will know how ‘stay curious’ can work for us all.
Curiosity is vital for workplace learning, innovation and change. Curiosity is at the core of recognition and feedback processes within our teams. And, curiosity supports our intrinsic motivation and satisfaction.
It makes me think that ‘stay curious’ is the perfect motto to carry into the new working week, don’t you agree.
