Small Moments

Death by a thousand paper cuts.

Sounds like a good book title, don’t you think!

It’s not so good for those who describe this feeling as their average working day. (Even those working in a paperless workplace 😉)

We often focus on the big reasons that people are frustrated or disengaged at work; why people leave; or the causes of low morale.

Yet in reality it is the compounding of the small moments that soon add up. That final ‘paper cut’ becomes the tipping point.

As we go through our working days, I wonder, how might the small moments cumulate in a positive way instead?
