Prepare For Joy
Research shows that anticipation can be a powerful, positive emotion.
Most people have experienced that certain joy from having something to look forward to.
When it is a big event, we may find ourselves in the throes of planning and preparation, and not allowing any space for excitement and anticipation.
We can also find this same joy of anticipation in the day to day.
Having coffee or lunch with a friend or work buddy;
Learning a new skill, or trying a new approach; or
Reading a new book,
are all things that can provide a rush of positive feelings.
