Practice Reflection
Why do we reflect?
It may not happen as often as it could, and yet there are times - like now - where we feel inclined to stop and look back on what has been.
If my inbox is any indication some use it as an opportunity to share with others; perhaps to connect with the team or customers, to celebrate achievements and experiences, or even as a marketing / PR exercise.
What if we started our reflection closer to home?
A regular reflection practice provides us with a valuable rhythm in our work and life.
Each day / week / month / year, we get the opportunity to:
pause,
review,
ask,
observe,
think,
evaluate,
plan,
and more.
As with any regular practice, a rhythm of reflection focuses our attention on what is, what has been and what could be. It is a practice that provides us with significant feedback and feedforward.
I’m curious, how might you reconsider the role of reflection in your work and life?
