Paying Attention

What are you noticing?

As I looked out of the office window, I spotted the lily flowers blooming in the pond. They are elusive, only staying open for a short window during daylight hours, for a short window of time during Spring. You have to be paying attention or you will miss them.

It makes me wonder what else we might miss if we’re not paying attention.

Everyday moments in our work and life. The opportunities that only appear for a finite time each day/week/month/year/lifetime. The tiny ripples that can become big waves. The details that can save us from trouble and challenges.

Noticing can bring us joy, connection, learning, growth, change and success.

Noticing seems like a simple act to practice and master, yet one with big rewards.

I’m curious what it is that you might miss if you’re not paying attention.
