Focus Outward
If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else. Booker T Washington
We often think that to lift ourselves up - to achieve more, to improve ourself, to be happier - we need to focus inwardly.
Yet, the paradox is that the more we focus outwardly, on others and their needs, the more we grow, the more we achieve and the happier we are.
A little empathy, generosity of spirit and compassion goes a long way in this world. The little things make the biggest difference.
It’s a great question to ask ourselves: what generous act could I do today to lift up someone else?
