Fearless Action

What’s the worst that can happen?

It’s a question worth asking when we feel procrastination or resistance sneaking up on us.

Often procrastination and resistance arrive under the guise of “planning” or “research” or “learning” and most often are a cover for one of our normal human fears (making mistakes, failure, letting others down etc).

At times, yes, we do need to take some extra time, add some extra knowledge or skills, or check in with others before acting. We all have those critical decisions and tasks on our plate.

For most of the things where I observe a hesitation to act, though, the answer to the question “what’s the worst that can happen?” is that I’ll have made a mistake and I’ll need to do it again.

How might you take some fearless action on a project, goal or change this coming week?

After all, what’s the worst that can happen?
