Don’t Freak Out

This was how the email began.

It also included the sentence: I don’t want to freak you out but 8.5% of the year has passed already.

Hmmm, too late … 😉

Until I stopped to remember …

yes, time passes;

it is only one month into the year; and

the calendar year is one way - not the way - to measure progress, success, anything;

If we’re zoomed in too closely, holding it all too tightly, and watching every second or point whatever of a percent pass by, it is going to freak us out.

What if we were to breathe,

take the chill pill, and

give ourselves permission to enjoy the fact that we’re a month into the year.

It’s just like that infamous Wayne Dyer quote: change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.

It’s the weekend and I hope you enjoy some freak-out free time.
