A Dose Of Hope

A dose of hope.

When I received the monthly newsletter from one of my heroes of hope, Dr Jane Goodall, it was titled, ‘your monthly dose of hope’.

Ah, how would it be if hope could be administered in the same way as a medicine, and afterwards we felt hopeful rather than hopeless.

Because hope is an important element of change; at a personal level, in our workplaces, and in our communities it is upon each of us to utilise the power of hope to make change happen.

Of course, when you follow her work on hope, Jane Goodall doesn’t propose using words of hope as a panacea for problems, instead reminds us of the sheer grit and determination of hope to see us through.

When we see hope in action, we are compelled to recognise, share and amplify it.

When we observe seeds of hope, we must nurture and grow them.

When we feel hope fading, we know it is the time to dig deeper for more.

And, if that’s what a dose of hope looks like, I’m feeling hopeful. How about you?
